So, what actually happens?
Two Seat Training Aircraft – these are one to one flights with a professional instructor in a training aeroplane. These lessons replicate the atmosphere of training for the Private Pilot’s Licence and will introduce the student to flying a light aircraft.
Four Seat Aircraft – as in the two seat lesson, the student sits next to the instructor. In the back are up to two seats (depending on weight) for friends who may also be interested in experiencing a flight and in learning to fly.
Cessna 152 Aerobatics – again the student and instructor are side by side in a fully aerobatic training machine. The lesson will incorporate an introduction to basic aerobatics such as loops, barrel rolls, stall turns, half Cubans etc.
Pitts Special Aerobatics – a two seat open cockpit stunt bi-plane. At 200hp this aircraft is hot stuff! The student sits in front and is given the opportunity to taste aerobatics in one of the world’s most famous aerobatic machines. A must for the real thrill seeker.
Tiger Moth – the classic English de Havilland biplane. An open cockpit, the student sits in the front and is invited to handle one of the most historic of all aircraft. Wonderfully nostalgic flying recreating the atmosphere of the original barnstormers.
